resolution options...how to choose options?
 

I am planning to install CSP Magui by DrJones Beta v 2.0.
I checked in the folder for information regarding the installation and found the following information.

"Please activate the resolution Patch by Makman for the resolution you have chosen." (before installing mod)
DrJone.

My options: 4x3,5X3,5X4,8X5,16X9,25X16,85X48
Who or what is Makman?

How do I determine which resolution to choose and do I install it normally with JSGME.

Those numbers are the aspect ratio , as in for ever 4 pixels horisontally there are 3 vertically. I don't know the exact aspect ratio for reselutions , but as a general rule a widescreen moniter takes something like 16:9 or 16:10.

Yes that was my thinking too, I just needed to make sure.

Take your resolution and divide it. For example, divide 1920 by 1080 and you get a certain number (1,7 I think?). Then divide the resolution patch numbers you mentioned (I think the one for 1920x1080 would be 16:9, since when you divide 16 by 9 you get 1,7 ) and whichever combination gives you the same number is the one you're looking for. Don't just grab one and hope it's the right one, that might ruin your experience.

You are correct, as i have a widescreen resolution i will install 16x9
