WinRAR or 7z?
I am planning in in-stalling DarkWraith`s New UIs_TDC_6_9_0_DarkWraith`s MOD.
should I use WinRAR or 7z to compress the files? Thanks:yawn: |
Either would work. I've used WinRAR for years, so that's what I use, but both oughta work.
|
Winrar works for both so I would use Winrar. Winrar is also the fastest and offers the best compression in most cases. The only place where I would recommend winzip is with pictures, winzip offer much better compression with pictures vs winrar.
Use WinRar for compressing data, games, video Use Winzip for compressing images |
Just some FYI I compress all my mods using ZipGenius. If you use that app to decompress it's guaranteed to work :yep:
|
thanks
WinRAR it is!

video tutorial
Is there a video tutorial installing the above mentioned mod. I read that I should chose the language for the UI (metric or imperial ) then place it in the MOD folder. Is that the MOD folder in SH5 or in the actual
in the downloaded files? |
What I really meant to
sorry guys after I read my last message I didn`t even understand what I wrote. Here is the exact wording in the text that came with the MOD. :hmmm: select appropriate 'Dials.dds' (or use your own!) and place in 'MODS\NewUIs_TDC_6_9_0_ByTheDarkWraith\data\Menu\G ui'. Do this before enabling mod!
If there is a folder inside called 'TDC' then you have to copy the files in that folder to 'MODS\NewUIs_TDC_6_9_0_ByTheDarkWraith\data\Menu\G ui\TDC'. Do this before enabling mod! :salute: If there is a video tutorial out there that would be a great help. |
Do you have JSGME?
|
JSGME
yes, that`s what I have been using to install other MODS.

Extract the files and copy the mods (primary mod and the addons ) to your main mod folder and activate using JSGME |

What Steve said it gold.
7Zip is the only program I use any more and I've tried em all since the 80's. (PKzip for DOS) |
