Two sides to every story and somewhere in between lies the truth.

I'm not ready to pull out the jump to conclusions mat because some suit wearing dude in Lebanon with unsubstantiated and unproven credibility makes accusations on some opinion piece broadcasted by some foreign noname news source.

Video aside, the fighting in Syria does somewhat remind me of Afganistan in the 80's

If we are supporting the bad guy, then it wouldn't be the first time.

Personally I question who's good, who's bad, by who's standards do we use to make that determination, and what makes those standards any more credible then the others.

edit: How I do like to toss that thought out every now and then. :O:

The guy seems to represent Hezbollah/Iranian stance on Syria(wearing suit lol).
Not that there is no truth in what he says....
Its a confusing situation:haha:

Rockstar 03-01-12 07:07 PM

Well I'd wager some of those "freedom fighters" coming against the Russian, Iranian backed Assad regime. Are supported by U.S., Euro allies in the name of freedom and democracy just like in Libyia, and Afganistan. In fact I'd bet these freedom fighters were just yesterday called terrorists.

Did you call it unsubstantiated or question his credibility when Voice Of America broadcasts his pieces?

Errrr....it is Russia Today which is a well known named newssource which some would say fulfills the same role as Voice of America.

But in essence it is a piece carried by a pro Putin media outlet by a "think tank" which has a history of being pro Iran and pro Syria.

Come on now, we are all educated people here
We all know a few concessions are all you need for foreign support

Platapus 03-01-12 08:20 PM

The United States is always supporting the bad guys
The United States is always supporting the good guys

All depends on your perspective.

Yet neither statement can be true.
