John Cleese: answering a few questions by fans.

I've always thought John was one of the funniest men alive. Yesterday I saw this video by him, answering a few questions by fans. He mentions in one area of this video, if he could be any character in "Skyrim" he would be a Greybeard,lol Funny stuff to listen to, but a lot of truth in there also!

:hmmm:

We need to start a petition to get him hired as Elder Scrolls voice talent. Like, yesterday.

:rotfl2:

And now I'm imagining: what if Arngeir was played by John Cleese.

"No, you came here for a Dragon Shout."

I had the great pleasure of seeing him live in the fall of 2010. He really is a great comedic actor, and intelligent! He's just naturally funny, he can stand and talk for two hours about his life (because that was what the show was about) without any sort of stand-up routine a la Eddie Izzard (whom I love, btw, so don't mean it as a bad thing per see) and still be mindbogglingly funny! I remember him telling the audience that to great disbelief of it's inhabitants, his hometown of Weston-Super-Mare was bombed one night by the Germans during WWII. He presented two theories as to why they would do this:

1. Psychological Warfare. Showing the British government that they had so many bombs and resources that they could waste them bombing a place like Weston.

or

2. Showing once and for all that the Germans actually has a sense of humor!

:haha::har:

Holy crap, this thread scared me. I thought he died. :nope:

Yeah I think this has just convinced me to try and get tickets to his show down here in Melbourne for the comedy festival that's coming up. Saw Dylan Moran last year, another funny bloke.

As for Cleese, well everything I've seen him is funny. There's a great skit he and Rowan Atkinson did on stage. Has me in stiches every time.

Yeah, you definitely should. If not for him being, well, awesome, then for the fact that you can tell anyone who cares (i.e. you) that you've seen a real Python! :D

It was much because of this that I last year went and saw Bob Dyland AND Paul McCartney live. Gotta take the chance when you get it! :03:

His remarks about how people interpret religion and that bit about incredibly stupid people cracked me up!
