There is no way around reading the manual and/or the many user guides you'll find here and at the www.subguru.com website to be able to use this sim.

Hi Red October (great name btw). I just purchased DW and I haven't even begun the game yet (still reading the 500+ page manual!). I have to echo what robdw wrote. You must absorb the manual. No way around it, indeed. :)

Thank you! I loved the book. And I've been readin up on DW in the tactics section. I think I will buy this game so I can learn.

And once you're done with the manual I really do highly recommend the additional user created guides you can find around here as they will give you the details the manual doesn't (scary to say when you have a 500 pg manual :hmmm:).

While others have already said it, I will repeat it because with DW, it is that important; read the fine manual.:DL

To summarize, you must have a TMA contact to feed into the fire control computer. This involves having a Link contact or a Master Contact to select in the fire control computer. This tells the torpedo where to go.

The wiki for Dangerous Waters has more information on how to do all of these things. http://www.commanders-academy.com/wi..._Waters_-_Wiki

Remember to be more aggressive. :arrgh!:
