I have been trying to play this game for years. I am very close. All I need to do is install some mods and I just cant do it I have tried and tried and read . some more I have installed jsoft I hsve extracted files I have read the read me. I have watched tutorials I have begged on this forum and I am begging agian please help. specificly I am tryin to go with the darkwraiths ui mod please if you have a moment

my honest recommendation:

I shelved this travesty within a week of buying it. I have recently brought it back down off the shelf in an Angry Video Game Nerd sort of desperation and I am installing some mods to see if it really makes that much difference in the awkward, clunky and unpleasing game play.

If i were you, and you dont get your mods working or you dont enjoy the game... get SH3, install GWX and you will have a winner that can deliver a knockout punch to anything SH5 could ever dream of being.

but thats just my opinion.

Hopefully all these mods im downloading make a difference.

but I am fearful that as long as we have these "special powers", odd ball story line, and awkward interfacing - this game will be the downfall of the Silent Hunter Series if it hasnt already fulfilled that purpose.
