Excited!!

I sank my first carrier!

It was the Hiryu fleet carrier with one destroyer escort steaming at 20 kts. It has been very rare for me to cross paths with a warship (in a campaign) of any type that is larger than a destroyer and even then they are steaming too fast for me to get my sub into an attack position.

I'm running TMO + RSRDC.

Good job. I remember when I sank my first (moving) Carrier. Feltgood.jpg

It's moments like these that make the game just fun to play.

few nights ago i found a TF, fleet carrier, escort carrier, cruiser, tanker, some other boats and many destroyers. I sunk the fleet carrier and tried to get away. The destroyers got me and i barely made it out. Some wounded, one dead, sub damaged bad enough to need repairs at home port.
:arrgh!:

Bagging a carrier was all worth it! Plus, you went after the most important target of the group.

Quite so. I still haven't seen a proper CV in SH 4 campaign. The closest I've got is a Chitose seaplane tender. :yep:

You must be unlucky I do not see them often but I have encountered carriers a few times my best kill was a Fuso though then after I got him I have not seen an IJN BB in two years of playing since.Maybe all these others are sinking the good stuff before we find them.:hmmm:

It is interesting that many new players seem to run into the Yamoto or a CV and get a kill maybe that is why some say they would rather be lucky than skilled any day.
