SH3 Commander and GWX

Is it possible to install SH3 Commander AFTER you have already set up GWX with the vanilla SH3?

I have GWX running perfectly, but have been reading more and more about Commander since then. Do I need to start all over again from scratch or can I just install Commander now?

The gwx and SHC threads n the mod section should address this.

That is correct.
SHCMDR is a stand alone program which MARKEDLY enhances your game enjoyment.

Above advice is good advice, and sound. SH3 Commander is not a mod. It plays well with others. There is one special GWX file that needs to be installed to make it work properly, and it is available through Jimbuna's sig. Other than that you don't have to do anything to make them work together.

To be installed into the SH Commander folder structure, I might add. Not the SH3/GWX folder!

And to make it a little bit easier, it's called GWX3_SH3Commander_CFGFiles.exe :03:

SH3Commander is really usefull tool, must have for SH3.
I have one question about it - how to use crew manager in SH3Commander? After mission I can promote crew members, give medals etc. using in-game system. How to do it in SH3Commander? Should I left in-game system and do it only via SH3Commander or do it first in game and next in SH3Commander?

Thanks to both of you. It's been so long since I've reinstalled any of it that I just couldn't remember.

Lower right corner of Commanders Opening Screen: "Click For Available Actions." One of the available actions is "Manage Crew." Everything you need is there. :sunny:

I believe that whatever changes you make in SH3 Commander will be altered in SH3/GWX. No need to do both. The game only allows certain changes such as one qualification change per patrol. With SH3 Commander you can do what ever you want.

Definitely a must have tool for increased enjoyment of a great game.

:sign_yeah: ...

ALSO ... I believe to manage crew promotions and qualification grades in SH3 Commander you have to be in-port and not at sea

@lucasner

As my fellow Kaleuns suggest SH3/GWX just isn't complete without JScones SH3 Commander. Get it, install it, enjoy it. :salute:

Best regards.
