SH4 Update 1.4 Unsupported mode

Hi, I've had SH4 since it first came out, but now with a new PC running Win7 x64 I have a problem trying to install and patch the program.

The vanilla 1.00 (tin box collectors edition) that I have installs and runs fine on the PC, only when I run the update 1.4 that I have problems, I get the UBI logo, the video plays and then the screen goes black and I get a message from the monitor on the screen "Unsupported Mode" and I cannot stop the program or alt/tab out to the desktop I have to reset the PC and reboot.
Is there a command line I can put in the startup to force the program to use a mode supported by my monitor?

PC specs.

And there is allways this

Oh and one thing, starforce does not apply to sh4, just try to install the game somewere else, for example c/games or something like that.

Thanks, I uninstalled, regedited out any remaining SH4 there and rebooted re-installed and it failed again, then rememberd reading about the Data folder in Documents and had a look there. Under the Main.cfg there was an entry for [Video] 1920x1080 @30Hz and that is too slow for my monitor. I uninstalled, regedited and removed the SH4 folder from Documents. Reinstalled without the Game Shadow then patched to 1.4 and I'm good to go now.
Now the entry is
[VIDEO]
Resolution=1920,1080,60,22
