Tracking a Convoy

I'm looking for some tips on using the hydrophone to track and intercept a convoy.

I have no problem using the 4 bearing method to track, plot, and intercept a single ship.

But when it comes to a convoy, the multipal contacts throw all the plotting off. And having the sonar guy track a single target, calling out the contact every minute, gets annoying when waiting the 20 mins. between plots.

Any tips??
Thanks

BTW: I'm using the Real Nav Mod.

You could get hydro guy to follow target.
Set you cfg for TC so that there is no sound at TC??
Set TC to ?? when waiting for the next bearing.

Or just take readings from th convoy.
If they are close enough then you will soon see them so no need for 4 bearings.
If the are far away the the error for first ship to last ship wont be to high.
Just use the meathod to find the convoy and use visual to hunt and kill:up:

Along with Trevally's fine advice,
I use a very simple way of tracking both single and multiple ships. If you have map contacts turned on. Pick one contact line and mark the end of the line. After 10 or 20 minutes mark the end of the same line again and draw your line between the two. This line is the convoy's basic direction. Since the convoys change direction every so often I repeat this often, but I always know the direction and basic range within 100 meters.
This may not be what you want, but in a jam it's the simplest if you play with "contacts on".
Good Hunting Herr Kaleun. :salute:
