Akula Broadband Sonar graphic Glitch

Hello,

I came back playing DW since a few days and i have a problem that i can't find a way to fix, i tryed to enable vsync, i checked that antistropic and antialiasing filters are both "let application decide" on the driver settings but it does not work.

This is the graphic glitch:

It happens all time on the broadband sonar and sometimes on the radar station, the other stations are perfectly fine. Any clue on how to fix it?

What is your hardware ? I think I've seen it already ..

Hello

i have the same problem, think it's some hardware issue, i have a Radeon 6870 card and i5 quad core cpu.

I'm using a MacBook Pro with I7 and Ati 6750M with Windows 7 Ultimate 32 bit.

Sadly this bug is making the sonar very very hard to use since the glitch overlap the signals...

I've seen this bug as well on my laptop which has an ATI radeon in it. I think I've also seen it on my desktop. It's more a windows 7 bug than anything I think...

Any idea on how to fix it? it's very hard to use sonar like that :(

I'm looking for a fix as well.

Hi everyone,

I think I found a solution to this. I had the same problem.
Then, In my catalyst control center I clicked on the "defaults" button in the "3d application settings" interface to reset all values to default. Then I activated "catalyst a.i." and set the slider to "advanced". Since then I don't have any grids. :ping:

My specs:
OS: win 7 32 bit
CPU: intel core i7
Graphic card: ATI Radeon HD 4800

Very interesting. Previously it was recommended to turn off Catalyst A.I. Nice find!

Welcome to Subsim! :salute:

Thank you Krabb.

Well, at first the grids were gone, and now they are back again. So looks like turning on catalyst a.i. is not the solution. :damn:
... Sorry guys. What annoys me really, is the randomness of at which the grids appear.

Like many others say, I would pay good money for an up to date sequel to DW.

:yep:

From your lips to Sonalyst's ear.

None of those have worked for me. Disabled and enabled Catalyst AI, still nothing. Those lines are there :(

A few days ago I tried to enforce 4x anti aliasing and 8x anisotropic filtering through the graphics card, with absolutely no visible effect on the sim. Today I enforced ONLY 2x AA and 4x AF, and the effects were visible. Well at least for the AA part. The other thing I noticed was that the graphic glitch, although not completely gone, was drastically reduced. Instead of lines and entire grids, there were only a few dots on the affected stations. Not perfect but at least playable. I didn't have enough time to test some more, so I am not sure if that is a true solution, but some of you might wanna try it out.

Good luck and good hunting. :)

My specs:
OS: Win 7 32bit
CPU: Intel Core i7
Graphic card: ATI Radeon HD 4800
