Periscope problem

Hi all!!
Firstly thanx to all the NYGM developers. I have just installed it after a few years of GWX, and it is brilliant.
I just have a problem with both periscopes.
If i extend it whilst submerged it looks as though it still has water in it. also it will automatically retract once i let go of the "page up" button. Both periscopes do the same. If i look through them whilst on the surface they are fine.
If i extend it before i dive it will "fill" with water and retract when i dive.
I am just on my first mission. Is it damaged?? Never seen it before..

In the NYGM manual they mention that in real subs the scope was unsuable above about 4 knots as it started to physically vibrate making it unusable - the watery effect is an emulation of this as vibration cannot be modded.

At about 6 knots I think it is, the mod auto-retracts the scope as, again in RL, the scope would be dammaged going above this speed.

The mod essentially now forces you to go slow when using the scope.

The hardcode fix stickied in the sh3 mod section of this site will give you the same results

"Periscope-Fix (V15D or later)
Restricted Periscope usage for higher speeds
  • For speed > 4,5kts Blur effect simulates vibrations. Periscopes nearly useless.
  • For speed > 7kts periscopes are moved down automatically."

I must be losing it.... :) - OK.. it must have been in h.Sie's mod and not in the NYGM manual.

That explains it then.. Thanx!
