How do i install mods that won't clash

hi
I installed a few mods on Silent Hunter 5 using jsgme,but do i need to just run one at a time or is there no problem installing a few ,and do they overwrite each other .
If there is a set you would recommend to use if so plz list.
This would help me to get the best effects out of this great game as i installed a few and ended up with a few things out of sync and could not work out which did it.
There are a lot of good mods on this site its hard to know what would be best and what clash

The secret to success is often just install one at a time and if you encounter a problem you know almost definitely which is the culprit.
