Whales
While floating around at 90m today i was wondering if there are any whale or dolphine sounds in SH3? I just returned to playing after a year or so leave and thought i had read before that it is possible to hear whales in the deeps. Is this true or am i listening for nothing?
Thanx for any replys |
With GWX you can hear / see them

The sounds are like your stomach growling after having Mexican food and too many beers. Uploaded with ImageShack.us |

And if Jimbuna has had a curry recently, you may hear the noise up to 200 miles away. :)

I saw my first dolphin while putting into the supply ship just north of Gibraltar, just a couple of days ago. Pretty cool!

Yes, there are some scripted into Cadiz and Vigo harbour.

I try to listen to the hydro myself as much as i can. There has been a few times that i hear ships that my sonar guy has not told me about:down:.I will try to get to them 2 spots and see if i can hear something, maybe i will find that shrimp:up:

If you put on a pair of headphones you should find that you can hear better than your hydrophone guy.

roger that ,i think he is deaf half the time
|
That's just the way the game is on default parameters I'm afraid.

Either way it's a good idea to do a quick 360 sweep yourself before trusting your sonar man. Also 2nd the recommendation for using headphones - just remember to turn the volume back down before issuing orders! |
