Longship is long

Found this monstrosity at Brisbane today...

Alright, whose bright idea was this?

Look at it though! Bloody seamless!

Even the guns fit neatly around that mast instead of sticking trough it :o

Even glitches can be impressive when they fit together so well :O:

That's Churchill's ship he takes when going places.

Aaah the Royal Navy always a simple solution for anykind of Naval Problem. :03:

I don't know, you'd think Winston's frame would call for width rather than length of ship carrying him. For stability and whatnot :D

It looks good. Extra machinery means quick acceleration, coupled with a fantastic fineness ratio means good top speed. Lots of armament. Lacking maneuverability, though, and will likely suffer from longitudinal stress.

Reminds me of a few of the hybrid monstrosities of the WWI era like the HMS Agincourt. I wonder if that was just a bug or if a mod maker snuck that in for fun? or even the devels?

Nah, it's definitely a glitch with harbor traffic - there are a lot of positions for generic ships to spawn in friendly ports, even in RSRDC, and it generically spawned two big ones next to each other like that (I'm guessing it was designed more for destroyer-sized ships). There's always a glut of these cruisers in Australia though since there aren't a lot of RAN ships on the in-game roster, so the game doesn't have many to choose from. Kind of doubt that Lurker would've intentionally done something like that, though who knows! Still looks funny - and it happened again on my next patrol too.

Uncanny :o

Sailor Steve 01-07-12 08:05 PM

Only in the twin three-funnel arrangement. Aside from that there is no resemblance at all, except for the part where they're both ships.

It was a joke, hence the J.K for Just Kidding...

Haha that's an interesting glitch! Makes for a monster cruiser! Sometimes ships appear already crashed because they didn't spawn correctly and hit the harbour wall, it's a suprise these two ships wern't destroyed by each other.

If only all glitches were all so fun..

I had to go back and look to even see that. It's kind of hiding. That said, I didn't think you were serious, but I wasn't sure about CCIP. :D

With an acute lack of six-funnel warships, SH4 adding some to the mix is comical.
