Camera Questions about new UI mod
 

I am enjoying very much DW's amazing UI mod, but have a couple of questions about the cameras...

In Free Cam mod i cant get the camera to rotate at all, using either keys or mouse..is there a way?

and is there a mod that allows the external camera to move with the ship? I think i found it but was not sure.....

and is the other unit camera location hot spot at the top for any ship close or can we adjust it to the target in a convoy ? and or airplanes?

and is there a button or key that removes the UI completely for screenshots?

the 0 key on the numeric keypad to remove the interface...

Use the numeric pad arrow keys IIRC for the free cam

Cam to move with ship already there. It's in the camera bar. If you want it to follow sub place free cam at end of sub and after sub goes past it it will tag along

The other unit cameras can be moved using numeric keypad arrows.

Can put other unit cam on airplanes. Game won't allow.

I went a little fast to answer you. This is the delete key of the numeric keypad...I'm sorry :03:

So the Delete Key removes the UI icons?

I just noticed that there's something wrong with the pics posted at post #1. There's something not right with his mod setup. Look at where the battery, fuel, and CO2 icons are. His heading bar is blank also :hmmm:

I havent changed any of the default settings yet, or at least i dont think i have. What is wrong and what should i correct? Needless to say, i am not skilled at this, as this is the first time I have installed it. I activated the main section of the mod only. Any suggestions welcome.

one thing i have noticed, the compass only appears when i type the C key, it will not appear when i click on the red bar at the bottom as some have suggested it should.

I had trouble changing speed with the indicator as the CO2 and battery icon was on top of the speed choices. Should i re activate the mod and see if it corrects?

There's definitely something wrong. What does the DbgView output show?

Another thing i found does not happen, when i use the Delete key the UI does not go away....

What do you want me to view with the debug viewer?

I reloaded the entire game and all the mods to try to see if that might change anything, it didnt :)

What happens if the only mod installed is my UIs mod?

tried that, no change.

everything seems to work ..just the battery and CO level meter is on top of the speed scale.

i may have changed a few things in the CFG set up for the UI mod when i was trying to figure out the various options. Just not sure. I re installed the mod but still no change. :)

the vanilla graphics sure are not as mice as the modded ones.

Still cant turn the UI icons off for screen shots with the delete key.

That's because you have python errors somewhere. How did you modify the options file? Try replacing the options file with an unmodified one and see what happens.

well i think i went into the default SH5 Options and changes some of the true to false listings..i had not understood at first we could choose complete changes of the UI and thought we had to choose individual items. So i may have messed it up.

I did replace all the mod files with a new set that i downloaded but so far it is still showing the battery and CO guage on top of the speed choices. But i will try replacing that optoins file again and see what happens. thanks.

I may revert to the SH3 or 4 controls as i find that older style of steering faster when i need to change course suddenly but the other hot keys for many of the commands in the Enhanced SH5 range are really nice.
