Where can we sell our World of Warcraft accounts

auction site here in NZ no longer allow the selling of used WoW accounts

I know if selling on ebay it must be a EU account not a US, mine is US.

Ive looked at a few sites but they look dodgy.

All I want to do is sell this account its the only way I will give it up for good, no point at stop playing as I end up back a month or so later anyways even deleting my main characters I just pm a GM and get them back.

So selling the account is the only way.

Wish we had an option to properly deleted the account for ever. :damn:

Any wow player successfully sold their account?

I know it doesn't exactly fits the OP intention. But I just wanted to make you guys aware of this. I once got a mail like the following, and got suckered into clicking the link. (Yeah, I know, ... shaming myself) Now I keep getting this as spam each time with different confirmation links (slightly changed domain-names):

Code:

Greetings!

It has come to our attention that you are trying to sell your personal World of Warcraft account(s). As you may not be aware of, this conflicts with the EULA and Terms of Agreement. If this proves to be true, your account can and will be disabled. It will be ongoing for further investigation by Blizzard Entertainment's employees. If you wish to not get your account suspended you should immediately verify your account ownership.

You can confirm that you are the original owner of the account to this secure website with:

http://eu.battle-net-account-worldofwarcraft.in/p/login.html

If you ignore this mail your account can and will be closed permanently. Once we verify your account, we will reply to your e-mail informing you that we have dropped the investigation.

Regards,

Account Administration Team

The day after the same message but with link:

I would get those emails practically every week, well I still do. Straight to the junk folder. 99.9% would come from a hotmail address, sometimes would be wowblizzard.com or adminworldofwarcraft.com etc. Blizzard would never email links asking you to login or to reset your account.

Ive thrown the WoW cds away, loaded up my 85s and deleted all their gear then deleted wow from hdd though deleting wow isn't a final, I deleted wow before and about a week later I grabbed a retrieve deleted files program and got wow back  But I never deleted the gear last time, so this time its for good as no way I would grid for all that gear again.

Can't you just call Blizz support and ask them to wipe your WoW stuff? Or even just email support and ask them about it?

They wont delete your account, they can freeze it until your ready to play again, so its still there just frozen. We dont actually own our acc blizzard does we just pay to play and own the game cds but the account belongs to them. One way is to get banned then your account can never be used again.

addicted to WoW........really?

kiwi_2005 12-31-11 05:48 PM

^ Not anymore :smug: More, addicted to mmo's but Wow was top of the list. Two of us played WoW vigorously I slowed down last two years but I still played 1 or 2 times a week, 1 or 2 times to many imo. We both were addicted to the pvp side of the game I still believe it has the best pvp in any mmo out there, pve wise I didn't care I hated raiding and dungeons. Pvp you can jump in for a few hours then leave, raiding you jump in and still raiding/dungeon crawling 7 hours later.

What blizzard have done a patch or so ago was made Battlegrounds pvp now Rated BGs, like rated Arena games, this is even better this is really good for pvpers and we knew if we dont throw the game down now we never will as we loved our BGs.

We both agreed to get rid of the game and have a clean slate new start so to speak.

Catching up with single player games and mucking around with the crytek engine.

Freedom.

I was going to get SWTOR, but wise enough to leave it for awhile as from what Ive read this mmo is very good.

I thought that you were breaking the terms of the EULA if you tried to sell your account?

If I remember rightly (and it's been a while since I played WoW) it can lead to an account ban (great for you - not so good for whoever bought the account)

kiwi_2005 01-04-12 12:00 AM

^ I didn't sell it in the end I broke the cds and deleted game/gear.

3 wow buddies who have been playing Wow from day one, more addicted to the game than I was, one of them vinnie I would ask him something like hey whats a gem for this piece etc and I would get an hour of rambling on why I should pick this over that etc, :DL Vinnie knew every thing about every class inside and out we nicknamed him the librarian you asked him anything about wow and he had the answer.

Anyway they told me on vent last night after playing SWTOR mmo since release, they are closing their Wow accounts and moving to SWTOR, SWTOR is that good. For Vinnie to give up wow it must be good. :DL

I've heard a lot of good things about SWTOR, especially the story and the PVE
in general has been praised quite a bit. :yep:
