you cant stop recharging batteries without a mod.
if you got a fast pc, then take magnus opus, you wont belive your eyes. If you got a slow pc you can take newui_tdc_6_9_0_ByTheDarkWraith you will have tons of new crew commands, all available with one klick without running through your boat and a complet overworked ui.

if you like it simple you shoud take mccd_1.4. it will just add the necesarry orders to the crews dialogs.
