Buying SH5

Hi

I want to buy SH5 but it costs almost 30 EUROs on Steam and I can find it for less than $5.00 at Amazon. Is there any reason NOT to get it from Amazon?

Also, I know that the continuous internet connection has now been removed from the game, but does it still use a UBI server for game saves? Can they not be saved locally?

Cheers
Jason

get the copy from Amazon:up:

For playing offline - in the launcher setting you can selct offline mode and do not save online. So after updating to v1.2, SH5 will not need to connect again:up:

I found that even if I put a check into 'do not synch games from server', it still synchs..even after a shut down and restart. I have not yet however unchecked the online activation.

I never use Amazon anymore, as I normally always find what I'm after, other places. When one find something for a good price on Amazon, the shippingcosts always turns out way to high than necessary.

I normally use play.com and Ebay, when I'm after things. Play.com has FREE shipping, and on Ebay there is always room for making good solutions for how an item can be shipped. Ebaymember since 2001, and I still use it daily !

But that's me.....:yeah:

After UBI dropped the 'forever alone...err...online' crap, I go my from amazon.com for pathetic 4 British pound plus 2 for shipping via airmail!

LOL UBI'S loss!

I find Play and Amazon quite comparable but using Amazon gives Onkel Neal a cut. I only ever get things from Steam when they have one of their fantastic sales, apart from RO2 earlier this year.

I've used eBay on and off since 2003 but in recent years it's getting harder to find a bargain I actually want.

I did this too! 30 EUR on steam is a rip-off.

Buy through the SubSim.com Amazon link and the site gets a commission. Works for anything you buy on Amazon. Help keep SubSim.com afloat.

Very well...I'll do that in the future. I use Amazon a lot.

I use Amazon so much I found it worth it to pay them $79 USD per year to be a Prime member. Almost everything I buy comes with free two-day shipping. That may well be a US-only thing though.
