He was one of the great character actors of all time. I remember him from a show called "Pete & Gladys" way back in the early days of television. Always a class act... |
RIP Colonel Potter... one of my fave characters from that series. :salute:

I've got a soft spot for Klinger. He looks a little like my son. And he dresses a lot like my wife. |
For me he is best remembered as the small town judge, refereeing between Frederick March and Spencer Tracey in Inherit the Wind and as Jimmy Stewart's irreverent B-36 flight engineer in Strategic Air Command.

Drag Net! I loved Harry in MASH. Great actor and believable character. RIP!

First Dobie Grey, now Col. Potter?
So who is the third?:hmmm: |
RIP!
|
RIP Sir
|
96 is a good age. Rest in Peace.:yep:
|
I'll always remember him for one of my favorite lines of all time, as the mayor in Support Your Local Sheriff.
Harry Morgan (speaking of his crazy daughter, played by Joan Hackett): And then there was her dear, departed mother... James Garner: Oh, her mother died? Harry Morgan: No, just departed. And a fine tribute - On Dexter, Dexter's foster father, played by James Remar, was given the name Harry Morgan. Break a leg, Mr. Morgan. |
Another great actor gone. I've been watching some older westerns I never seen before and his distinctive voice always clued me in that once again Henry Morgan was in it. RIP Sir!

I watch MASH reruns just about every day. He now belongs to the ages. Farewell.
