16km env. Moon new size...

Hi folks,

I was always not so much inclinated to use 16km by some small details. The game was originally made for 8km and the environment on 16km had always small glitches that put me out. The time passed, I made my 16km env by myself, fixed a lot of things that annoyed me but never achieved to fix that super small moon size until now.

The 16km env made the moon even small than the small moon mods for 8km...I know that is at first a taste issue. I like the moon a bit more big, more or less as in the original Sh3...a hollywood issue perhaps...but for me it gives much more felling for the boring sh3 nights.

If someone is interested I can release it. The problem is that it is a new 3d moon model that needs to be changed with the one that already is in your Scene.dat...and we know how much scene.dat files we have. So, I will release it as a single 3d object download that you will then import as your new 3d moon object using S3D. It donīt use any texture. You can continue with one that you like. And also is now possible to have any moon size in game. Itīs a very easy task using S3D.

I agree about the 16k environments and I'd just like to say the plus 175 moon looks like a wonderful addition. So yes, a release would be great. :yep:

Funny as it may sound, thanks for being annoyed all this time. :03: For without that constant little 'bee in the bonnet' we would never arrive at days like today. Cheers mate and thanks again for all the hard work! :salute:

Yes, you can. Itīs just a 3D model a bit major in size (vertices coordenates). It will work in any environment, just will be 75% major than you have now. Iīm now using a 50%, in the end I liked it more. I will upload a new file with already ready to be imported 3 sizes: 125%, 150% and 175% (actual), this way we can have a more useful mod for more ppl.

That's about what I thought but I wanted to be sure. Thanks!
