The new James Bond movie
http://movies.sky.com/skyfall/skyfall-is-the-23rd-bond

My favourite Bond film as got to be Live and let die with the speed boat chase, but my favourite all time James Bond as got to be Sean Connery

aye, same here!
Sean connery and pierce brosnan in a distanced second.

favorite movie though is rough....theres a few.

I do hope they go back to the style of Casino Royal as I did like that movie quite a bit due it came very close to potraying bond as in the novels.

We'll have to wait and see I guess, imo there can never be enough bond apart from the ones that moore was in as he put me to sleep with his acting like a bond then actually beeing a bond.

Sean connery is ''the'' Bond
this bit sais it all: http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature...G09xHhro#t=82s
when he said that line you all knew ''He's Bond''

I agree.
I unusally catch flak from Roger Moore fans for saying Pierce Brosnan was a great bond.

But no Moore fan ever disputed Connery.:D

Timothy Dalton was the worst, but they gave him a crap script as well.

Edit: Most Moore fans feel there should have been no other.:D

Dr. No is my personal fav.

Connery and Brosnan, in that order.

Here's the guy on my wish list to replace the current actor impersonating Bond.

Michael Fassbender

Sean Connery's easily my favorite 007, Pierce Brosnan coming up as second.

Tho, I did like Lazenby too. Kinda hoped he would've taken the contract for more
007 movies. :hmmm:

Connery of course was the best Bond, Brosnan was a good one. I would have liked to have seen what Roger Moore could have done if they didn't stick him with those terrible campy comedy-type scripts. That was the worst Bond era.

And while I'll give you Quantum of Solace being a bad script, I think Daniel Craig's a great Bond so far.

I read somewhere that it was not the problem of his "taking the contract" but rather "not offering him one" as he is regarded as the worst Bond ever.
My vote goes to either Sean Connery or Timothy Dalton.

I on the other hand heard he was offered it, but Lazenby's agent adviced to not take it. :hmmm:

He's really the one so far who I can watch through a whole Bond movie without wishing that Connery was in it instead. :yep:

Must have been a very poor agent, I think he would have been a better Bond than Roger Moore. :yep:

I will only go and watch it if Bond blows up the EU.

Sean Connery by a country mile but I thought Lewis Collins would have been a good second choice at the time.

Sean Connery defined what Bond should be, and everyone who followed him has admitted that. That said, a part of what defines Bond for me is of course the books, and for a movie to work for me it has to follow the book reasonably well. The last movie to do that was Thunderball, until Casino Royale. Casino sticks fairly closely to the plot of the book, and it shows. The only thing I would have liked better would have been a period piece, set at the beginning of the Cold War. As it is, Casino Royale was the best Bond movie in a very long time.

The only thing I liked about Quantum Of Solace was the in-joke involving "agent Fields", and that just barely.

Roger Moore was to dapper and debonaire for me. James Bond is a well-dressed thug. He fits into society by pretending to be something he's not. Most of the actors who've played him didn't have that quality. Daniel Craig does. Of course the scripts didn't help. I think Timothy Dalton could have been great if not for being stuffed into awful movies.

Daniel Craig is a fine action star. I've liked nearly everything I've seen him in. My main problem with Daniel Craig is his lack of sophistication. He's a working man's 007, and I don't think of blue collar when I think of, "Bond, James Bond". Bond is supposed to be a man of some culture, if a bit rough around the edges when required.

Another is his lack of expression, which comes across as passion-less not dispationate. IMHO, Connery's ability to dispationately "get the job done" was wonderfully offset by his jovial, good nature at most other times.
