UbiDRM still in the game?
I'm tempted to finally pick this up now that I've been hearing that it's finally been patched and modded to a playable state and I've built a machine that can close to max it out in the graphics department. Unfortunately, those weren't actually the biggest hurdles for me to play this game.
I'm wondering if like they did with Assassin's Creed Ubi had the sense to patch out that damned DRM. So my connection is decently solid, but I cannot on principle buy a game that treats a customer like crap or pirate it. |
Yes and no. You still need to be online (well, their servers still need to be online) for you to START the game in the first place, but you no longer need to be always connected after that.

As a caveat, if someone can confirm this is true, then it makes it bearable enough for me to buy it:

I'm amazed you didn't know that. We've had a thread on it for almost a year now.

At least we haven't had the weekly "Is this game playable yet?" thread. (though the last guy who started one was very gracious about having it pointed out to him) |
