Mexican drug cartels recruiting Texas children

If there ever was a concrete reason to seal the border, this has to be it... |

Aye...Remember the Alamo!!
Can't say I'm suprised though...those scum have no morals or feelings for anyone other than themselves. |
I still offer up my idea.
1. Bring back the military from overseas and rotate them on the Northern and Southern borders. I am sure the military would rather have a 90 day tour in TX/AZ than 15 months in AF....Well depends on the part of Texas. 2. The purpose of the military is to provide military protection to the borders. They will NOT be involved in any immigration enforcement. This could take care of any Posse Comitatius concerns 3. There will be a no-military exclusion zone of 20 miles from all authorized entry points. The security of those designated entry points is the purview of DHS. 4. The rest of the border, which by definition, would be non-designed entry points would be patrolled by the military -- for national defense purposes only! 5. Stationed behind the military and separate from the military forces will be the existing federal and state border control civilian law enforcement units. 6. If the military catches someone crossing the border at a non-designated area, they would be evaluated for whether they pose a national security threat. If not, then they would be handed over to the appropriate immigration and border law enforcement agency to process according to civilian law. There would be a clear and definite differentiation between the responsibilities of the deployed military (national defense of the borders only) and the Law Enforcement agencies stationed behind the military (enforcing the laws). That is separation of powers. No conflict of interest, no Posse Comitatus concerns. The military does what they do best and LE does what they do best. No one can criticize a nation such as the United States from using its military to provide national security of its borders. The military will not interfere, nor even be involved, in any and all legal crossings at the designated entry points. Hence the military exclusion zones. Anyone see a problem with my wacky idea? |
Time for another Punitive Expedition?

there has always been a concrete reason to seal the borders. This is just some more icing on the turd cake that is illegal immigration. we need to do more than seal the borders. Stop allowing people to dodge deportation and immigration laws.
Its not like other countries give any US citizens any breaks. If youre caught illegally in mexico, you can expect to have the full weight on the law upon your head. |

We get rid of our nuclear waste and stop illegal immigration for the next couple thousand years. :yeah: |

And there also have to be a concurrent effort to dry out the cartel's profits, as money is their most powerful weapon. This could only work by a legalization/decriminalization of illegal drugs and genuinely fighting their other businesses, e.g. human trafficking. Quote:
