I don't know how serious she ever was, but watching Bachmann flame out has probably given her a good indication of what her chances were.

First smart decision she's made. Seems Perry is Palin with a pecker.

I remember the day that Collin Powell reminded everyone that if McCain won and then died in office, Sarah would become the C in C. I think that prospect scared a lot of voters.

I think the Secret Service would have had the order to shoot her in this case, to protect the US from imminent danger.

Looks like a positive for the Republicans then.
