Front Diveplane Animation
:salute:
I have strange problem, when i play longer than 20-25 minutes the front diveplanes didnt spread, they just in upright position all the time. i have 1.4 patch and no mods installed. Please help |
Yeah, that's an anomaly,...used to happen to me all the time. The first one or two times the graphic runs correctly then after that the dive planes move just a bit then quit in a completely wrong position.:damn:
The good news is that it doesn't effect gameplay at all. Fixing it is more of a problem as there is no single mod/patch to fix that particular problem.:damn::damn: Playing 1.4 myself for a long time, I think I got rid of it by trying some of the interior overhauls available in the graphics downloads. Of course, if you really want to stop that and many other glitches, upgrade to 1.5. (easy, there are many download sites, cheap, including this one) After you upgrade, you can load TMO, RFB, Operation Monsoon or if you like you can load up Game Fixes Only which is the stock game with many fixes and enhancements. Don't forget to load up Pacific Environments as well. I hope I didn't put you to sleep here, just know that I had the same problem and that it doesn't effect the boats performance. So installing patch 1.5 should solve the problem, i will give it a try and post here if it works. Thanks again:salute:. |
1.5 doesn't fix it
It's still a problem regardless of the version. As mentioned it does not affect your sub's performance (it will still dive in the same amount of time etc). Saving/reloading will "reset" the graphic, not convenient but it is a workaround.

Do You have that problem on Patch 1.5? |
Don't surface/dive when using time compression and you'll never experience the "locked" planes...
Alt-tabbing in and out of SH also cause some bad side effects. |

Yet another reason for estimulating the adoption of 1.5 as our main SH version. Anything less than that is just too crapy.
