I rewrote history!
 

I was on my third Patrol and had some rotten luck in my assigned patrol grid. So I went snuck into Scape Flow thinking I might get a shot at a British cruiser or something. The to my surprise out of the fog looms the Shape of a large capital ship. I fired a salvo of four torpedoes into it and she was blown sky high, I then beat a hasty retreat and got out of there. Later I learned that I sank the HMS Hood(in 1940). By my thoughts by the time they can re float whats left of her Bismark will have broken out into the Atlantic and join us U-boats in the hunt for Allied shipping.

However, it's my understanding in this sim that all the big Allied capital ships instantly re-spawn when sunk until such time as they were historically sunk making it impossible to change history. Somewhere Hood's clone is rolling down the stocks.

Dang it.

Look on the bright side. You can rack up a lot of tonnage sinking the replicant Hoods. :D Of course, you have to find them first.

Even if she doesn't stay down, it's still a nice achievement. Congrats! :up:
