ctd but no error message
 
:damn:Ok firstly apologies if this is in the wrong place but something strange seems to be happening to me ok i got my sh5 running with a few mods and decided i would add real enviroment revision 2 to my mods, well it looked awesome but after about 15 mins i got a ctd with an error message.

So i tried removing the mod didnt work, uninstalled and deleted all ubi and sh5 folders etc, reinstalled and now when i run stock sh5 with no mods at all i load my save up and after about 30secs of load screen the program closes but i get no error message or anything bit copnfused and not realy sure what to do bought the game 2 weeks ago and so far i have got so miffed with its faults i havnt played much at all and i realy want to :(

Any help apreciated.

Things to check:-
Did you update the game to 1.2
To use a save game - you must use the same mods (some of them)
Load a bunker save - not at sea
If you dont want any mods - start a new career

ahh thanks for the tips,i think il give it a go later on a virgin install fresh campaign see if i can at least get stock working

Thanks Trevally working now just hit a 7600 t tanker east of grimsby , blew it right in half , i love these mods from here,awesome that people put this time in for modding.

Had to restart my career but no biggie i was just farting around anyway to start with, i did notice what i thought was a red sos flare fired by the tanker or i could be mistaken :D.

Hmm seems i was a bit premature just got a ctd with an error message -AppName: sh5.exe AppVer: 1.2.0.0 ModName: msvcr90.dll
ModVer: 9.0.30729.4148 Offset: 00036bf4


no idea what any of that means.

Update your Windows...it might fix it.

Still getting randoms ctd with no error sometimes in port sometimes on pat , sh5 exe just ends out of nowere :(

ok i will try to install mo first , at the end of my teather now with this game stock game is horrible so im not even considering playing that got a copy of sh4 but never got into it...seriosly giving it some consideration after this weeks performance, getting about 5 mins of play then sh5 just closes no error or anything, easy have enough specs to run on almost full settings and im cutting everything back too to save performance and still nothing :(

20 mins so far so good installed mods in this order so far and actualy manages to sink a 16k tonn armed merchant cruiser just west of the orkneys :rock:

Re: Nauticalwolf's_Damage_and_Torpedo_UI(g)_Mod_v1.1 - MO already has a damage/torpedo screen mod included; if you want to use this one place it as above, but check compatibility with MO & NewUIs with TDWs SH5 Validator (found in mods section) just in case.

will do :) soon as i get back to port which wont be long since my fuel is running low and i cant seem to find were the british are bucketing around :)

If i want to add dynamic enviroment mod just to try it would it be safe to stick it on the end or should i list all mods i plan to use and see if you can help me, i checked http://www.subsim.com/radioroom/album.php?u=223410 but it seems a lot of mods and some i dont realy feel i want or think i need such as real navv and a few others.

Dynamic Environment would be fine to add on the end, but remove U-Boat Watch Crew Routine SFX first as it may get overwritten depending on which bits of Dynamic Env you choose to install. Just add it back in after DE and it'll work fine.

I have DE in my mods list (in sig) if you want recommendations on which aspects of DE to use (note, I don't use sounds as I have Stormy's DBSM, but they are good if you don't use DBSM). If you want to list the mods you plan to try then go ahead, I'll have a look - or you can follow the install order in my list with the mods you want (leaving out any you don't, just keep the same order) and you should be fine.
