Crew hurt, hull damaged after loading save
 
When I load a saved game during a patrol, my sub is usually damaged and my crew is hurt, even though everything was perfectly fine when I saved that game. Is this a known bug?

Do you have patch 2 for MO installed?

Yes, I copied the data folder from the patch to MO's data folder and then activated MO. I did this according to stoianm's tutorial. Is there any information I could locate in my files that could be of help to you?

I don't know where to start with this one....hmmm...a Dbgview output of the game when you try to load save game would be a start. Ensure you are using my latest version of my UIs mod though as it outputs more debug info for error checking.

this happens, if your sub took damage, which may got repaired and saving a game then. As the hull`s damage cant get repaired on the sea and you load a savegame with a damaged hull, the game engine damage the sub to the exact hitpoints you had while saving the game. While the game engine adds the damage to your hull, you may hear it :D

My hull wasn't damaged before I saved. However, I have been unable to recreate this event so far. The last time I reloaded I noticed that shortly after reloading a plane attacks my sub. It's possible that when I originally loaded the save I did not notice the plane attacking my sub and interpreted the damage as a bug. But that's strange, because I heard no gunfire. Maybe there was a glitch and the game played out the attack before finishing loading, so I only got to see the result of the attack.

No gunfire doesn't necessarily mean no attack from airplane. If you have IRAI installed (or MO) they will bomb and/or torpedo you also :up: Sounds like you were bombed.

The tutorial is getting old. It is for NewUI v.6.4.0, and later appeared IRAI 0030, FX, that corrected some features in NewUI 6.4.0. Thats the reason why Stoianm put such an order
Now IRAI 0030 is getting old, also FX 0019 is approved by TDW to be installed before NewUI 6.7.0 :salute:
