Problem with milk cow game save (not crash)

Hi all.

I've moved to Lorient, and BDU decided to send my Type IID "Coastal" boat into the middle of the Atlantic. Being that I had limited fuel and eels for such an extensive trip, I planned to make a stopover at the milkcow Corrientes in the Canary Islands.

After finishing up the patrol at the Corrientes I took a break from SHIII for some SimGolf.

Now when I try to load up the save file the instructions correctly tell me start is Corrientes, destination Lorient, but when the game starts I'm already in Lorient harbour.

Is this a bug, something correctable, or is BDU punishing me for playing golf while on duty...

its my understanding that when you switch from Wilhelmshaven-saltwizel(incorrect spelling) witha type 2 your supposed to switch boats to a type 7 when you reach lorient with second flotilla. I think thats why its messed up. Thats my two cents.

I'm not sure how to fix your problem, but you could just use SH3 Commander to assign yourself a closer grid before starting the original patrol.

I guess you had a designated driver, but can't remember. Drunken sot :woot:

This happened to me once and the only explanation I could think of is that the "change base to Lorient" message came in before I docked at Corrientes. So it sounds like a bug to me.

Unfortunately, I deleted that career, and cannot remember how SH3 Commander handled the anomaly.
