Waspzilla!

It sounds like the stuff of nightmares - a wasp that supplements a vicious sting with jaws longer than its front legs.

But this is a very real newly discovered warrior wasp found on the remote Indonesian island of Sulawesi.

Dubbed the 'Komodo dragon' of the wasp family, the males of the species measure two-and-a-half inches long.

:o Last time I saw something like that it was chasing a young, scantily-clad Sigourney Weaver.

That's one place I won't be going any time soon.

Meh many Indonesians are even more frightening, the corrupts and the radicals and the mafia thugs. The later two are closely linked.

They measure about 5-6 foot tall. With an ego out of proportion to the size of the planet. Tiny brain though and the nonexistence of wisdom and common sense.

Either stay away or kill them like pest I say.:shifty:

I wish I had my own death squads sometimes. Cleaning time is badly needed.

The army often gets the publicity of being thugs to the civilian too. I must question their competence in REAL battle with foreign army though as corruption also takes its toll on the state of their equipment. I'd think it would be like sending young people to their certain death while the political leaders discuss peace or surrender on conditions.

:o So that's what became of the wasp that one of my colleagues put in a microwave years ago. He thought he'd kill the damn thing but when he opened the door a very irate wasp flew out and then disappeared.

I always wondered what happened to it, now I know.

A mean looking beasty but I wonder how it would fare against a fly swatter/tennis racket?
