Make all subs available to all flotillas
 

Hi guys,

Does anybody know if there or any mods, or a way i can make all uboat types available to all flotillas?

Iv been playing from 1939 and now im up to 1944 with the 1st flotilla and built up a really strong crew so I dont really want to transfer to get my hands on the XXI.

Sailor Steve knows a way to edit SH3Commandr file or files to do this.

And he makes it sound simple.

In his past posts he didn't say how. So ask him how and show you the path.

Easy enough to do using SH3 Commander but IMHO a real game killer.

Well, I know how to make the Type IX (and probably the Type XXI) available in 1939, within the flotillas already alloted. I don't know how to change the flotilla assignments.

All you have to do is go into the SH3 Commander folder. I have XP, so it's in Program Files; I don't know where it is in Vista or 7. Once there you go into U-boat/XXI/data/Roster/German/Submarine/SSTypeXXI and change AppearanceDate from 19440627 to 19390801. It should then appear in the historical flotilla. If none of the flotillas it served with were active at that time then I can't help you. It was easy for the Type IX because they did serve with the 2nd flotilla.

I tried changing the appearance date of the Type XXI to 19390801, however in SH3 Commander the type XXI did not appear, I even tried changing the DOC for one of the specific uboats to 19390801 and still no luck, its not the upmost concern, but if I can take a Type XXI out of Bergen in 42 it would be fun!

ive been trying to figure this out too. With the XXI mod u can but the game is all screwy for me, does anyone know how this cane be done relatively easy with grid allocations and the whole nine?

How can I get a IXC/40 in 1939 :hmmm:

I got the IXB and pretended it was a IX, because it does appear in the 2nd flotilla. If the IXC/40 never appeared with the 1st, 2nd or 7th flotillas, then I have no idea.
