About Facial Hair...

Okay, well, if you were looking for a serious issue - might as well check another post. I come here because Google Search has failed me - and I know there are people here from all over.

I keep considering growing a mustache - just like my grandfather had all his life. I think it'd make me look older and more distinctive. Everyone in my family says that if I grew one, I'd look just like him - and he's the person I try to be the most like (his list of high accomplishments is very long).

What are your feelings on them?

Also - I can't get my facial hair to grow in darker than my skin (I'm tan) - I mean - I can grow a beard easily. It'd take me a month to have a full, dark, beard - but I can't get a mustache to grow in darker than a moderate brown.

Any ideas?

Well, thanks

If it is the same color of your skin it won't even be very noticeable.

If you want to honor your grandfather try to BE like him rather than try to look like him.

Depends on genetics. If weeks pass and all you have is what looks likes like a fuzzy caterpillar over your lips, I'd say forget it. Older and more distinctive usually just comes how you carry yourself, not facial hair.

Had a friend of mine at twenty who had a full beard. But he confessed it was only to cover a weak chin. Otherwise he said it was more trouble than it was worth.

I am when I'm in public - blunt - down to business - money oriented - respectful - always one to make someone smile - ect

This !!

I had an ''anchor shaped'' beard for three years. Plus I have very sparse hair so it took me a long time to groom it so it looked more dense. Not worth the trouble.

I always found a felt tip pen allowed you to create the perfect profile :DL

Gahh so all I can do is wait?

I can't encourage it to grow in darker?

I tend to alternate between a full beard and clean-shaven, depending on my mood and the time of year. In terms of growing advice, I don't have any; mine just comes in full. I suppose it is all genetics; you can either grow a beard or you can't.

Yeah - unfortunately a beard isn't my problem. I could grow a full beard in a month - but the pencil mustache is what I'm having issues with :/

Though, if the Russian girl I want to date doesn't work out, I think I'm going to try a beard for the winter.

Well, there are such things as facial hair dyes if the colour's too light... would be worth considering if you're really that desperate.

Funny, I was in a debate with myself about facial hair for the last little while. I just can't grow enough of it, even though I really like it. Ended up shaving it all off yesterday after deciding it makes me look far too sloppy and unprofessional, but now I feel naked and ironically it's made me look older all of a sudden (odd, usually the opposite happens when you shave...)

Go to Drug store
.
Turn down Womens Makeup aisle.

Stop a Eyebrow Pencil Section.
