Hi witch is the best sh and why?

Each to his\her own as people have different opiums about each one of them, but mine is SH3 with the GWX super mod and a few more mods added

The question of which SH game is best has no right (or easy) answer, which game is "best" is a matter of personal preference and the reasons why are also subjective. If you are wondering which game would be best for you to invest your money in, it depends on what kind of gaming experience you prefer and which one(s) your system can run well so more info there would be helpful. :DL

I'm afraid there's no definitive answer to that question. It all boils down to
personal preferences. If you like fleetboats and the Pacific, then SH4 is the
one to get. If you like Uboats and Atlantic, then it's either SH3 or SH5.

Personally, I would say Silent Hunter 5. Why? Well, as polished as SH3 is,
thanks to modders, it lacks the immersion I get from SH5 and immersion is
for me #1 when it comes to sub games.

I'd say, go read some posts in SH3, 4 and 5 forums and see which suits you
the best. :up:

Personal preference is personal, one mans SH5 is another mans SH3, or SH4. And vice-versa (or should that be vice-versa-versa?). Also the mods make a huge difference, two people can be running the same game with only one slight mod difference and it can mean the world.

The only true way is to buy them and try them. :yep:

The one that gives you the most enjoyment...have a look on the forum boards, they may help you make a choice.

Don't listen to them, they're just jealous. SH1 is the best, of course.

Just kidding. You've been given very good advice. Since they are all so cheap now it wouldn't be hard to just buy all three of the latest - 3, 4 & 5 - and find out for yourself which one you like. They are all excellent anyway.

Because the price on Amazon via SubSim are so dirt cheap I have SH3 StarForce free patched to 1.4, SH4-UBM, and SH5 all installed and modded.

I have the best of all worlds and, while I play SH3\GWX the most. I bounce around and play the other 2 as a change of pace.

Each 1 is unique and different in it's own way.

As I noted above if your computer can handle it. Buy all 3 and you'll see. they're all GREAT in their own way. And moddind them makes all the difference in the world.
