The bestest video arcade games evah!
Went to Cedar Point this weekend. Last time was in 1989. I was REALLY hoping the building with all the old arcade games was still around.
The building was gone, but there was a new pagoda type building with some games, and what to my wondering eyes should appear, but: Asteroids, Lunar Lander, Donkey Kong, Pac Man, Ms. Pac Man, Centipede, Gauntlet, Berserk, Gorf, Wizard of Wor, and Robotron. No Joust or Defender, but a wonderful time was had by all. My wife, the two youngest and I spent an hour shoving quarters into the Gauntlet machine. I swear, I was almost in tears. |
Glad you had fun. You should check out the arcade machines on ebay and give the others a hint for your birthday! :D

They already know. The tabletop console Donkey Kong. One day, it will be mine. Oh yes, it will be mine.

The late 70s. Friday and Saturday night at the rink.
A haze of girls, pepsi, Seawolf, foosball and Atari Football. Oh yeah, skated a bit too. |
I'm still partial to Pong...

Is it true that this game really came out in 1969? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xnQ9R...eature=related |
Possibly. There were a few electro-mechanical submarine arcade games, and iirc, Sea Raiders wasn't the first.
