SH5 and constant web connection
 

Do I understand that there is no longer a requirement to be constantly connected to the Internet to play Sh5? I declined to purchase it because of that requirement (not possible here), but would do so and upload Mods if it no longer requires a constant Internet connection. Am old hand at adding Mods so that's not a problem. Is there a JSGME mod upload available? Have been away from the SH5 forum for a while.

Still has to phone home every time you want to start the game.

As Kapitan says, it connects to Ubi once when you load the game and that's it. Still not perfect, but the worst is over :yeah:

As I said, I abandoned SH5 (stayed with GWX SH3) when the constant connection was required since that would not be possible here. Will now look again at the project and review the MOD requirements for reasonably smooth play. Don't expect miracles, just reasonable working. Any recommendation for a forum site for critical MODS? ...seems there are a bunch when I look over the forum...hard to know where to start.

Ive had a very playable enjoyable experience with Sobers mod list, which he kindly updates from time to time. All the mods are easily found, i noticed, by highlighting the modname from the list, copy, and pasting in google search. Searching in these forums will do, it just takes a lot more scrolling.
