Rival rebel factions clash in Libya, 4 dead

WTF?! Really WTF?!

Hottentot 07-31-11 04:25 AM

There's a surprise. Someone hurry up and open diplomatic relations with them too.

Now they are saying they were not attacking rival rebel faction but Gaddafi forces in Benghazi outskirt. They found green flags and all as proof they were Gaddafi forces in disguise.

You sound surprised.

Would you like a large pinch of salt with that?

That is convincing

I am. I am aware too many Americans don't want anything to do with Libyans and the Arab revolutions in general. But I beg to question why no resistance to Iraq's invasion. I can understand Afghanistan.

Moreover people are subjective. They seek not understanding but justifications to their pre-existing beliefs.

I suspected that their killed Commander in Chief was probably killed for treason.

His son shouted "We want Moammar back" during his funeral.

Why?
Can you give a brief run down on what you think the situation in Libya is or draw any similar episodes from history.
I am just curious as to how you can be surprised by the murder, and the only way I can see it is that you are looking at the events as something they are not.

Treason against who?
So far 4 different rebel groups and the Daffy regime itself have all been blamed for the murder.

Treason against the rebel cause of course. He was shot after being asked to be present for a questioning regarding his family connection to Moammar Gaddafi. They were questioning his loyalty to the rebel cause.

I believe most Americans see events as something they are not. I'm beginning to believe that common sense are uncommon for many Americans replaced by sentiments and prejudices.

They elected Obama but voted Republican majority in the lower house. It seems too many people there can't seem to see the reality behind everything and fall prey to media war biased in politics and falling prey to crooked politicians swallowing everything they say for the truth. They allow themselves to be pawns to be played.

Democracy could not work if the majority of the population are [cough] plain stupid. And I got the feeling the majority of Americans are simply . . . stupid (or was that naive mistaken as stupidity). if you see a disappointing politician or a party hammer him or her or it down until he or she or the organization as a whole realized that Americans are not to be fooled. Rewarding the bad for doing badly is enticing them to do worse.

If common sense is common would United States of America be in this mount of debt?

The grace of being mankind is we have the ability to rationalize to gain understanding and in return to solve problems. Now it seems no one would seek understanding but instead just trying to convince. No one is listening, no one wants to understand, they all want to speak and they all want to convince and to convince without having understanding of the real problem and of others is plain foolishness. A fool may speak but all that came out of his mouth is mere foolishness.

In all honesty I'd very much welcome a world with US as superpower or remaining as superpower than a world with China as the only superpower

Am I the only one who lost the plot here?

Which rebel cause and which rebels?
It really is a mixed bag when it comes to rebels in this civil war...and those crazy bastards now coming out of Algeria are a real cause for concern.

Family connection? He is from a different tribe entirely.
Do you mean his previous personal connection with the Daffy regime, current menbers of his family which are on the other side of the civil war(probably covers most Libyan families), or something else entirely.
Not only have five different groups already been blamed for the murder there are also 7 different stories put out by about what happened and who was going where and for what and on some of those 7 there are half a dozen different reasons given for single aspects.

Do you think people who are not American somehow miraculously don't?

Are they human?
Humans are stupid. We are all stupid Castout, anyone who thinks he isn't is really very stupid.

Looks like things in that country are turning into one giant 'free for all'....I'm beginning to wonder if there is any sanity left there at all.

My question is...how long before NATO realises and pulls out?
