New Hydro RPM table for GWX3

Ahoy everybody,

I want to let you know that I'm working on a new Hydro RPM table for GWX3.

With this table you can calculate target speed by listening to the engine sounds on the hydrophone.

In the past Greyrider made a table for Stock SH3, and Raduz made one for GWX 1. Since then all the ships and sounds have been changed so these tables are useless for GWX 3.
That is why I'm working on a new table. Which is a lot of work.

I want to add all GWX3 merchant ships to the table, except ships below 1000 tons. That means a total of 46 ships. So far I have done the following ships:

Large Cargo (C3)
Large Merchant
Passenger / Cargo
Medium Cargo (C2)
Victory Cargo
Small Merchant
Liberty Cargo
Small Freighter
Large Tanker
Amm. Ship

Just messin' around.
Probably a little too much of Capt. Morgan's elixir.

As an aside, I like your mod, and I realize how much work you are putting into it and I am looking forward to using it. Please forgive us; (for we know not what we do),

...i like the idea of it too. i have often wondered about this as i listened to the screws turning. guessing sometimes worked.

looking forward to it and good luck with your work:yeah:

Would be a useful aid but there are an awful lot more than 46 GWX compatable ships out there....always a start though.

Would definitely be useful to learn as allied radar improves, because you will be spending at least (I would think) 75% of the time underwater anyway :03:

This is great news :woot:

I still use Raduz's table and his sound mod for GWX1 as some of the ships RPM's are still correct in GWX3. Having an updated RPM table would be really good :yeah: Even better would be if warship RPM's would be charted too. I can't say how much I appreciate this, because I know what a great load of work making that chart is.

Thanks, Canavaro! :salute:

Jim,

46 is based on the EnglishNames.cfg file minus all the ships below 1000 tons. On a GWX3 installation without any ship mods.
With 'an awful lot more than 46', are you referring to other additional mods to GWX3?

Thanks for the kind words!
I will not be doing the warships, because:
1. too much work
2. they change speed all the time anyway

Update:
24/46 ships finished!
