Links for Commander??
 

Are the links to download Commander 3.2 broke over in the Silent Hunter III mods section? I cant seem to get them to work, one takes me to different sites, and the other just doesnt work.

any advice?

They worked. Am I supposed to download them into my Silent Hunter III directory and unzip them in there?

Commander is not a mod, it's a standalone program. Save the download somewhere else on your hard drive, not in your game installation.

Extract to some other location on your hard drive as well, run the .exe file - probably setup.exe - to install Commander. You can install it anywhere on your hard drive, but it does not need to go in your game installation and I would not recommend putting it there.

When you open Commander you will need to point it to your existing game installation so it knows what files and folders to work with.

There is a user guide that will be included with your Commander installation, it is brief and will answer most if not all of your basic questions on what it does and how to set it up to work with your game. :yep:

In the case of SH3 Commander is an application. It will install free-standing, not in Silent Hunter folder, :yep:

I am using GWX 3.0, so do I download the "GWX3.0 SH3 Cmdr3.2 config files v1.2 installer" file for gwx users in the same place i unzip and download Commander? Do I download the config file afrer i run setup.exe?

EDIT: Looks like that file is already included.

The config files installer can be downloaded and run from anywhere on your hard drive IIRC. But you will need to install Commander before you run the config file installer, as it needs an existing installation of Commander otherwise it has nothing to configure.

Don't forget to put in the cfg file that help it work with GWX.

This is assuming you have GWX installed in SH3.

GWX makes SH3 like it should have been. It's the Super Mod most used but, there's some other great Super Mods too.

NYGM and WAC for example.

Yea, I use GWX and have everything up and running, and it is great so far!
