Hello fellow Kaluens, New here...
Hello all,
I finally have registered after reading these forums for about a year now. The Subsim community, and especially the Silent Hunter community is great. Ive never come across a place like this one. I have enjoyed reading the posts and have kept me occupied for sometimes hours! I downloaded GWX3.0 about 6 months ago and it truly is amazing. I am addicted! Current mods are 16km Atmosphere Alternative Flotillas Late War Sensors and Snorkels Lite Harbor Traffic No Medals on Crew FM_NewInterior_V1.0 (Thank you very much for gwx and mods) Current campaign November 9, 1942. 2nd Patrol 23rd/29th Flotilla, Mediterranean I just have a two questions 1. How do I download skins (where to download/which folder to put them in) 2. I hear commander is amazing, but I want to install it correctly, how is that done? Once again Hi to all ! :salute: P.S. I am using DL version of SHIII via Steam TF77 |

http://www.subsim.com/radioroom/show...=147567&page=2 I'm a SH3Commander user myself and I didn't find installing the program difficult. There was only one quirk - the fact that GWX users need to load an extra file: http://www.thegreywolves.com/downloads/ Welcome and Gute Jagd!:arrgh!: |

As Sublynx already noted, installing Commander is not difficult. It's a standalone program so not something that has to be added or "installed" into your game directory. Install it on your hard drive like any other program and when you open it you can "point" it to your game directory. Once it knows where your game .exe file is, it will work with your existing game installation. Just make sure to get the extra config files for Commander + GWX3. For skins, there are a bunch in the downloads section here, go to the Silent Hunter 3 section and look under graphics, there is a whole subsection for skins. Jimbuna also has a bunch of skins by Fubar at his Filefront page (link in his signature). How to install them depends on how they were set up, many will be JSGME-ready so you can drop them into your MODS folder like any other mod and enable them with JSGME. Some may have instructions about copying their files into your game folder(s) directly. You will just have to look at each one to see how it's meant to be used, if you have any questions you can always ask. :DL |
Welcome!

WELCOME ABOARD! :sunny:

Welcome! You've anchored at a wonderful port. The people here are, in my experience, extremely helpful and friendly. GWX is nothing short of phenomenal and the sheer volume of modifications that can be had is staggering.
Did anyone mention that new recruits have to buy the first round? I'm having a pitcher of small batch bourbon. :D |
