As I said I don't use S3D so how would I know? I won't ever use it either as it's based on/uses company code and thus could never be released as open source if he ever wanted to.
Obviously S3D let's you view SDL files from the context of your response. Does it let you compare them? If so, does it highlight the differences and allow you to merge those differences?
