Motorcycle Helmets..what's protecting your pretty head?

Well yah...this thread is just an excuse to show of my new helmet :O:
but...might as well have others showcase their helmets as well, so what's protecting that pretty head of yours?

anyway after my Bye Tenere helmet (seen here: http://www.subsim.com/radioroom/album.php?albumid=143) decided to have that plastic flap that's on the front of the helmet to break lose from one of the joints (I was quite suprised myself when I lifted the helmet as I was cleaning it and suddently had half the flap in my hand) it was time to get a new one with 1. a better fit as this bye was way to lose around the sides of my head and 2. better protection.

so got myself a SHOEI Hornet DS
what a beauty!!!

I don't have a pretty head to protect :DL

I used to own a moped (looks like a harley's embrio) and I had an old US army helmet :DL. Bought it just for the ride.

When I read the headline, I was going to say:

"Well, if you want a really good one, buy a SHOEI." :D

Herr-Berbunch 06-29-11 09:31 AM

Back in the early noughties I had an Arai RX7(can't remember the ending), it was nice, but I always aspired towards Shoei.

Nice one on the Shoei:up:

Me, BMW System 5 flip up. Fantastic helmet, only downfall is the road noise.

Can't show mine, it's in storage along with pretty much everything else I own. It's just plain-jane black anyway, nothing special. It'll come out again, when I have a bike to wear it on.

I have several helmets, some for street and some for dirt.

My Shoei RF1100. I rarely use it except in the winter, when it's cold. It's a great helmet, has a wonderful fit.

This is my main helmet, an HJC FS-3. Nice fit, good ventilation, great field of vision.

Great time for a motorcyle thread, I just turned 30,000 miles on the V-Strom.... and 20,000 on the 1975 Suzuki GT380

.

Neal, you really have to come to Slovenia, it's a motorcycle heaven. If you like twists and turns and a lot of hills. If you prefer long straight roads then you're better of home :haha:

Same can be said about Southern Spain, lots of variety driving in the mountains, plains, forests and nature parks :DL a Biker's Paradise.
