BdU Won't Let Me Practice!
I wanted to test a mod configuration, but when I tried to load the Naval Academy I got the "Too Many Sailors! Go To Barracks" message. So I went to my only career and dumped some, and got the same message. So I deleted the career, and got the same message. So I exited the game, reloaded and tried again. Same message. So I started a new career with a Type VII, saved it and went back to the Acadamy. Same message.
I've been doing this long enough I should know this. So what did I forget? |
They're just afraid you'll asplode another Admiral. :O:
I don't know, are there some bits of the Naval Academy that have you in a Type II? Would Commander giving you a Type VII sized crew be a problem if you tried to load a training/tutorial session that used the smaller boat? :hmmm: But I have to say, I've used several of the Academy tests to do a quick test of various mod combos, and no matter which one I chose or which career I picked in Commander before launching the game I've never gotten that particular message. And almost all my careers in Commander have been in a VII so you'd think that if crew size disparity between different boats was an issue I would've come across the error by now. |
I'm trying to do the Torpedo and Artillery training, and they use a type VII, and I haven't changed anything that I'm aware of. It's just weird, and I'm looking forward to finding out what did it. But I'm still stuck for now.

Never encountered that before.
Commander? |

Well, it's fixed. Apparently since I have used SH3 Commander it won't let me start without doing it through Commander. I did that and waltzed right into the Acadamy.
The bad news is I was testing the GWX Enhanced Damage, and even with the better graphics card it still crashes after I put a few holes in a ship. I was thinking it was trying to filter too much smoke, but this one wasn't even burning too badly. Oh well, RB's SH4 damage still does a good job, and sooner or later I'll have a whole new computer. |
