The Big Man passes away
 

Clarence Clemons, longtime sax player and bandmember of Bruce Springsteen's E Street Band, passed away Saturday from complications of a stroke he suffered 6 days earlier. I will always remember Clarence's wonderful sax solos and accompaniments on such legendary songs such as Born To Run, Badlands, Jungleland, Backstreets, and so many more.

His death is a hard blow to all of us who apreciate good music. Music written and played from the heart. Music that has meaning, soul and purpose. Music that invokes emotions regardless if you're sober or drunk. A companion to long trips, boring train rides and lonely evenings. Giving you wings when you're happy, comforting you when you're down. The true music, created for the love of art not wallet. Let's not mourn the giants of musical legends, but celebrate their life and work... VOLUME UP !!!!!!!

You will be missed Big Man, by me and any true Springsteen fans. Just put Born to Run in the stereo. The trip down Thunder Road can begin...

Never met him, but have been a big fan of Springsteen & the E Street Band since Born to Run.

Can't figure why, but Clemons' passing has me really down.
