I'm new and not happy.

I highly suggest you re-evaluate your anti spam nonsense. Being forced to type in the name of that sub exactly how you typed it in when you created the question is just nonsense.

WOW, im glad to see you got though, most people need to seek our mental help services after completing that. Its really stressful

Well, I suggested having each new member placed in a dark room with a swinging light bulb and interrogated until we can ascertain the identity of the spammers, but alas, we don't have the manpower for that, so we have to settle for those silly anti-spam measures...

Nice first post. :yep:

It might seem silly or annoying but it's intended to make it a better community for all the non-spammers. IMO, a small price to pay... :sunny:

Ah, so you had a problem googling the name of the skipper and then typing in the name of his sub? :O: You must be really, really stressed now, wow, you take a short vacation to recharge your mental batteries.

"Highly suggest?" Or what? We'll lose one of our 60,000 members?

Madox58 06-18-11 06:47 PM

:hmmm:
A spammer pissed that he has to rethink his bots maybe?

That's the problem. It's not as simple as copy and pasting the name, am I supposed to capitalize? Do I add on the USS part? Do I capitalize USS? Do I put a dash between USS-Tang? Is it just Tang? How about tang? How about SS-306? Then for the random question, "What is a german submarine called?" U-boat..nope, uboat? Nope. "United states of?" America? Nope, it's america.

It's obnoxious and there better ways of preventing spam that don't require guess work. Maybe I'm the only one who has had this problem, if so then fine; sorry to bother. Just wanted to download RSRD anyways.
