Considering I had the misfortune of being near a group of more ortodox passengers (everyone was wearing kippahs) on our airport a couple of years ago, this statement is in fact envy of dogs superior higiene.

But its the only option, fundamentalists are in general beyond reason so that is a no go, you can't just kill them all for being dumb.....so all you are left with is either ignoring them or laughter.
Since they make a point of making sure they cannot be ignored then it only leaves one avenue.
