GWX Enhanced damage effects

I've had the GWX Enhanced damage effects mod activated in JGSME for a while, but I never really noticed a difference.

Did some testing today with turning the mod on and off, and I can see no difference with the stock SH3 effects.

The smoke and explosions look the same, I see no oil slicks, and just don't notice a difference

Here's 2 screenshots;

My Mod list is as follows;
GWX - No Medals on Crew
GWX - Lite Harbor Traffic
Magui F(Final()
TMT V2
Optional Stopwatch with speedlines for Magui
GWX enhanced Damage effects

The difference should be with stock GWX...

Just looking at your mod list, do you have GWX installed? The enhanced damage effects mod comes with GWX 3.0 as an optional mod, but the .dat file contains a lot of effects that may or may not be recognized by a stock installation.

If you are running it on GWX, and (judging by the order of your mod list) are enabling it last, then conflicts shouldn't be an issue provided nothing else changes the Zones.cfg file.

The other thing you can do, is try downloading it again to make sure your version isn't corrupt. If it comes to that, you can grab it here:

Good luck! :sunny:

I just installed GWX directly onto SH3. In game I also have a lot of GWX things, like the F1 "Resupply info"

I'll see if i can reinstall SH3/GWX again

Follow the installation instructions found on the GWX website (click on my sig).

You might also want to read the GWX manual that comes with the mod to gain a better insight as to what changes are made.

SquareSteelBar 06-12-11 07:43 AM

That means: SH4 effects have been transfered to SH3 [GWX3].
