i was on patrol when i notice a ship so i go to intercept it. then for no reason my engines stopped working both surfaced and under water so wtf

Do you have fuel?
Is there crew in the compartments and are they properly rested? (If you put them on battlestations and forgot to relieve them, they can tire out)

In my experience, when you make that mistake, all it takes is to turn off battlestations and then turn it on again. Those sailors sure can take a whipping.
