conning tower missing in gwx

hi all,
i have a little problem with my gwx, every time i start a game in 1943 and i choose the u-boat type IXD2, i dont have a conning tower or the posibility to choose one. i can start the game, but then my uboat wont have a periscope or anything what is related with the tower. already tried to reinstall.

What other mods you use?

schuppo 05-23-11 03:10 AM

i use the following mods with gmx:
gwx-16km atmosphere
gwx-alternate loadscreen
gwx-captain americas officer icons
gwx-integrated orders
gwx-main movie ´das boot´
gwx-lite harbor traffic
gwx-no medals on crew
gwx-enhanced damage effects
lsh_v5.1-ohne ermüdung

i already tried it without the lsh modifications, but no changes. and now i noticed, that i also miss the conning tower of the uboat type XXIII. but when i start a mission, then i can use everything what is related to the tower.

Hi !

You can´t use the File "lsh_v5.1-ohne ermüdung" with GWX, because LSH v5.x and GWX 3.0 has completely different "Basic.cfg" Files ! And the "Basic.cfg" is an elemantare File for the Gameplay !!!

When you use the LSH-Basic.cfg File with GWX, you have much Trouble and CTD´s !!!

So please delete the LSH-File (the other MOD-Order seems to be okay) AND delete the SH3 Folder under ....\My Documents and begin a new career !!!

Best regards,
Magic

I recommend that you play with SH3-Commander, read here: http://174.123.69.202/~subsimc/radio...d.php?t=147237

For me and many other player is the SH3-Commander a "Must Have", I want to play never without the Commander !

Download an install SH3C. as a seperatly program and after installation navigate to your SH3 exe File and "link" that with SH3C.

So you can start the game now via Commander. But before start the game you can do many settings with SH3 (play without fatigue for example) and many, many other !

Best regards,
Magic

Well, but you can easily do 1 or 2 knots more without the conning tower when submerged...

thats good to get the blue riband, but useless witout a chance to aim
:haha::woot:

Particularly for the watch crew. Otherwise you have to Velcro them to the deck.

Velcro would be historically incorrect, I reckon. Therefore I´d go for the bolt-on version. :D
