Nude IMF chief chases down Housekeeper

http://www.cnn.com/2011/CRIME/05/15/...ex.html?hpt=T1

Quote:

The head of the International Monetary Fund was expected to be arraigned Sunday after allegedly chasing a housekeeping employee while in the nude down the hallway of his swanky New York hotel suite and trying to sexually assault her.

Dominique Strauss-Kahn is charged with a criminal sexual act, attempted rape and unlawful imprisonment in connection with the alleged sexual assault on a 32-year-old woman Saturday at the Sofitel hotel in Manhattan.
Attorneys for Strauss-Kahn told CNN he will plead not guilty. The attorneys, Benjamin Brafman and William Taylor, had no comment Sunday on the specific allegations.

The 62-year-old has been widely considered a potential candidate for the French presidency. His arrest early Sunday morning immediately triggered political chatter across the Atlantic.

My question is, in France would this be good or bad for his political career? :har:

The timing.

He was on his way to meet Merkel for talks over the European crisis. Both stand for an opposing political approach to the issue, than France'S sarkozy.

He was a candidate for the French presidency.

He stood in Sarko'S way on two different issues.

All I want to say is I do not take the truth of these charges as granted. I want them to be proven.

And whats up with staying in a three grand a night hotel? A pretty high life for a bureaucrat.

That Jim, always getting into mischief:haha:.

He must have tried similar action in Singapore and not get caught. So he tried it again in New York.

I guess he's not a very smart man.

Then again there's always a possibility it's a smear campaign but looking at the details it just may not be the case. it just may be real.

So I said to the young housekeeping employee "You know what's going to happen next if I unbuckle my belt"?

She says "Yeah, your trousers will fall down"

LOL, and what's the hidden reason why he's got to leave the country years ago in your opinion ? :rotfl2:
This kind of attitude was indeed sort of expected from such a guy - in here.

And then again :

The initial post almost makes it sound like he was outside of his room and naked, chasing the housekeeper down the hallway of the hotel... which does present a somewhat amusing mental picture, not least because in a presumably more public space one has the sense that the alleged victim had a better shot at avoiding assault.

However according to the rest of that story and the rest of the news reports, this incident happened in his private suite, which was made up of several rooms and the "hallway" was part of that private space.

The current story is that the hotel employee entered the suite to do routine housekeeping, thinking that the guest was not present. Mr. Strauss-Kahn, however, was in the bathroom, from which he emerged, still naked. He then locked the door of the suite. Allegedly he assaulted the woman twice after the brief chase which is apparently the source of so much amusement - once in a bedroom, and again after dragging her into the bathroom.

So, uh, yeah. HILARIOUS. :shifty:

Also a suspect.....

I am still not really believing the story, while more and more French think it is a new form of polktical assassination (like the Assange example).

DSK should have an alibi, his lawyers say, at the time the assault should have taken place, he was outside the hotel, in a different restaurant. There are witnesses, and his daughter as well confirming this.

Reaction of the New York police: the time of when the assault should have taken place, was moved.

If he did it, let him rot in prison. But so far the story smells more fishy than that it is convincing.

German news

The motives are clear why certain sides (the EU, the Americans) want him to fall. The IMF is one of a more critical voice on the European crisis and the waves caused by the Greeks. He has argued for a haircut of Greek debts, which not only many EU idiots do not want to keep their illusions alive and sink more German and other tax billions in them, but the Americans want it even less due to their own money bets involved and their banks having an interest not to write off their investements in Greece.

However, if he did the crime in the way it is claimed, than he would be a truly remarkable fulltime idiot.

Correct, I totally agree. Too many of this breed behave like the royal despots of a neo-feudal era.

Of course it is political assassination ! What else could it be ?

Sarkozy hasn't been doing anything good since his election, not to mention that during his term at the head of the country he's got to go through some of strangest things happening worldwide - the H1N1 sh!t being only one of them, as he's been doing quite a lot of mistakes until now.
In fact, the only thing that would give Sarkozy access to the Elysée a second time is the spreading of rumours related to other people standing for election in 2012.

Seeing the economic and social situation of the country, Marine Lepen's image is indeed going to remain Sarkozy's main aim until next year, she's indeed been the victim of rumours already, as some photos of her shaking the hand of some shaved heads have been published recently both at TV and in newspapers.

I remain convinced that sarko's gonna give our american friends more and more reasons to make fun of France and its upcoming candidates for the presidency.

And all people just think it's wrong from Strauss Kahn to stay in such a hotel, traveling through the united states aboard a Porsche Panamera ? See the ship from one of Sarko's friend on which our actual president got to screw around in the Mediterranean near Malta for 3 days just as he got elected ! :DL :smug: :yeah:  :haha: ;)

Why do I feel like puking.

I think that is highly probable but again people WHY IS EVERYONE PRESUMING HE IS GUILTY!! Actually we have no strong proof either way to say it is a political smear or an old dude going nuts on viagra. These people are not special and are fully capable of such crimes, yet these people are also fully capable of setting up a smear against their opponents. Maybe we should have a subforum here called "Subsim Court" where we try or retry famous court cases.

Hmmmm.:hmmm:
